Sig of the day

Its a new feature of my blog that probably won't get beyond this first post because they never do. I'm so bad at blogging; there is always something better to do. Anway, I saw this sig in a forum today and thought it was funny enough to repeat:
"Some people are like Slinkies. They're not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs!"

Quote of the day

Well I was just adding an MSN profile (for no real reason other than it's there) and it asked for my favorite quote. The first one that sprung to mind was from the Sandman comics by Neil Gaiman. Unfortunately MSN decided it was too long so here it is. Its between Chloe Russell and Sandman (Dream, Morpheus, lots of other aliases) in SANDMAN #43: "Brief Lives:3":
"So what I want to know is, when I'm asleep, do I really remember how to fly? And forget how when I wake up? Or am I just dreaming I can fly?" "When you dream, sometimes you remember. When you wake, you always forget." "But that's not fair..." "No."

New word of the day

One I haven't heard for quite a while, possibly because I haven't been back home to see the family for a while. But Laura posted a comment on the Not Shakespeare post containing the word "neb" which I had to make word of the day if only because none of the dictionaries online seem to define it in the way it was being used: Pronunciation: 'neb Function: verb Etymology: Not a clue, but probably from its Old or Middle English noun usage to mean a beak or nose 1 : To look at, to be nosey.
