Nokia 7250i

I thought a post about my new Nokia 7250i might be a good way to start the blog. I’ve tried a few other makes of phones and never got on with them so I was definitely sticking with Nokia. This, coupled with my desire to keep the functionality of my old 6210, caused me to go for the 7250i.

First impressions were good, after transferring the data from old to new, I had everything I used to have but with a better calendar and a color screen. What more could I want? Well first there’s a radio which while I’ll probably never use it does seem to work okay. The only strange thing about it is that you can’t enable it unless you have the headset attached even though you can then put it out through the speaker! Then there’s a camera which again is unlikely to get used much. I suppose it could come in handy for taking pretty poor, blurry pictures with bad contrast when I forget to take my digital camera out with me. Which I always do.

Then there are the other functions that I’m yet to try due to a lack of GPRS: Java apps, WAP and multimedia messaging. I suppose one day I’ll get GPRS enabled and try them out. You never know, I might be pleasantly surprised.

Basically I’m extremely happy with it. It synchs to my Notes calendar at work, makes good quality phone calls, will hopefully work when I’m in the USA in a couple of weeks and has some bonus features that may come in handy one day.

Yes, I just noticed that I spelled colour the American way. It’s a bad habit formed from writing documents while working for an American company. Sorry to all you Brits out there.
