Fun URLs and an Emoticon Observation
Since being invited to join Orkut and stumbling on a community for Home Star Runner I’ve spent a long time catching up with the Strong Bad Emails. Its become one of my all time favorite wastes of time on the Internet. Possibly the best thing to do though, to make sure you don’t miss any of the secrets, is to use the Strong Bad Email Secrets list.
This one is also from an Orkut community, which is odd because I was just thinking that the whole networking web site idea wasn’t as interesting as I first thought. Anyway, on the Obscure Videogames community someone posted a link to some great games. I had already played some of them and I’m yet to play the rest, but give them a go.
I noticed today that the emoticons between various chat programs are slightly different. Clearly the general ones are about the same but a couple nearly caught me out today. I use Trillian mainly because MSN messenger 6 crashes my ADSL router, but also because I have friends on all mediums and it handles all of the main ones. However, the “thinking” emoticon in messenger shows up as some head on a spring icon and the eye-rolling comes out as a guy in shades! Ah well, you can’t have everything.
And its only four days until I set off for Chicago and Las Vegas.
