Top 100 Albums
I’m never sure where the original list of nominations comes from for these shows but there always seems to be some glaring omissions. This one is no different with Leftfield’s album “Leftism” missing from the list. I would also have liked to have seen Def Leppard in there. But I suspect that might just be me.

I’m sure while I was watching it I thought of other albums that were clearly missing but they’ve now slipped my mmind. I do, however remember wondering how Alanis Morissette got so high (higher than Led Zeppelin) and how Pet Sounds (The Beach Boys) managed to be so low (#33). The eventual winner also came as a huge surprise too, although not an altogether unpleasant one for a change…

As with most Channel 4 things, it’s voted for by “the public” (I think via a form on their website). That number 1 is amazing. No respectable critic in their right mind would consider that.. most critics would place the bends as the number one Radiohead album. Jagged Little Pill is a *fantastic*, almost *perfect* album, the best by a female artist, and would be a solid top ten finish for me. I would question 1,2,6 and 8 being in the top 10, and (particularly) 8, 39, 50, 57 (!), 69, 97 (I mean, come on) being in the top 100 at all. And that’s just with my critic’s hat on. For my own personal taste I would probably ditch the whole thing and start again.

Hi,
Just been trying to impliment your script for menus in wordpress and just can’t get it working. Wondered if you’d help out?
Have included the php into my sidebar.php. So instead of:
I have put in:
Now What?
I’d like to have the pages menu do the following. Show the top level catagory name but no sub catagory pages till you click on one. Then you get to see the child catagories.
eg. before clicking:
Cat 1
Cat 2
Cat 3
Then when you click on Cat 2 you may get:
Cat 1
Cat 2
Sub Cat 2a
Sub Cat 2b
Sub Cat 2c
Cat 3
etc.
