New Orleans
Obviously I feel incredibly sorry for the New Orleans residents that are struggling through and I’m absolutely amazed that the disaster planning and recovery efforts are proving so difficult. This page shows how the disaster planning had been privatised last year. Why people still think that private companies will be more efficient at these types of things I have no idea. Private companies, by their very nature, are out to make money rather than just be more efficient. Anyway, lets hope the recovery efforts get up to speed soon and the city can get back to normality as much as possible.
