Dentistry

Went to the dentist today. Just for a check-up. Came out with a bloody filling. How does that happen?
“Ooh, the enamel on that tooth is a bit soft. I can do a little filling on that before it gets too bad. It won’t hurt, you won’t even need an injection”
I’m not going to swear in case my mums reading. But “not hurt” is not how I would describe the feeling of having a tooth drilled without anaesthetic. “The most painful thing to happen to me so far this year” is probably closer to the truth. Possibly most painful thing for even longer than that, I’m not sure I can remember being more uncombfortable. Is that because you block bad memories out of you mind?
